brutalisturinal is an artist, carer, sex worker and death worker from Birmingham, UK with a focus on trans and queer sex, BDSM and cruising practices, public space, temporality and transience. His work has been described as equal parts horny, sad and funny which also sums him up as a person.

After leaving school at the age of 11 due to suffering a nervous breakdown, he educated himself with the help of pop culture, zines and gigs, later gaining a First-class BA in Interactive Arts (RIP xxx) from Manchester Metropolitan University and an MA in Fine Art with Philosophy from Birmingham City University. His work has been shown / performed at the BFI Southbank (London), Schwules Museum (Berlin), Manchester Art Gallery, Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin), CCA Derry~Londonderry, Grand Union (Birmingham) and the Porn Film Festival Berlin (etc...). From 2014 to 2018 he ran the DIY education project Queer Day School based on his own experiences of autodidactism. In 2019 he set up the queer sex party Temporary Cruising Zone, which he still runs.

He is now sober and would like to apologise to anyone he worked with prior to 2024.

He is available for writing commissions, research projects, readings, performances, collaborations and Pro Dom sessions.
